There’s something magical about Downtown Charleston, especially when you combine it with a classy, intimate space like Bourbon and Bubbles. Renee and John’s engagement session was everything I love about photographing couples—full of love, laughter, and those candid, in-between moments that tell their side of the story story.
Renee rocked a unique dress that felt so her—elegant yet playful. John couldn’t stop smiling at her, and their chemistry was priceless (that’s what makes my job easy). The way they interacted with each other was effortless, and you could just feel how much joy they share.
One of my favorite parts about planning engagement sessions is getting to create something that reflects who you are as a couple. Being a Wedding Photographer wasn't always the plan...
I was (and still am) a special education teacher—someone who spends her weekdays in classrooms, not studios. But somewhere along the way, I picked up a camera and fell hard for the way it let me see people. The way it let me slow down and pay attention to the things that matter: connection, movement, emotion, joy that doesn't need to be posed.
Now, I photograph weddings and couples with that same lens—chasing honest moments, big energy, and the kind of photos that feel like memories.
I didn’t build this business to be booked and busy every waking moment. I built it so I could do what I love and still be home for dinner, still be present with my family, still have space for the life I live outside of work.
