Some sessions just flow—the kind where everything aligns without even trying. That was Olivia and John’s engagement session on Folly Beach, just outside of Charleston, South Carolina.
From the moment we met up, these two were full of life—laughing, playful, totally in their element—and trusted me completely. No stiff poses, no trying to “look perfect.” Just movement, connection, and a whole lot of joy. My favorite way to shoot.
The beach was calm and quiet this afternoon and the weather was perfect (overcast and 75 with just enough sunlight slipping through the clouds to give you that cinematic feel), and the second they ran into the ocean? Boom— literal magic. Like the universe timed that golden glow just for them.
They were all in. Rolling around in the sand? Yep. Letting the waves crash right into them while wrapped up in each other? 100%. It felt more like telling a love story in real-time than taking photos—messy, honest, and just so much fun.

Being a Wedding Photographer wasn't always the plan...
I was (and still am) a special education teacher—someone who spends her weekdays in classrooms, not studios. But somewhere along the way, I picked up a camera and fell hard for the way it let me see people.
